Although February is a month dedicated to Black history, components of its rich cultural significance are valuable contributions to American history, something we share EVERY day of the year. Throughout the entire month of February, the AJK Fine Arts Department, Technology Department, and staff advisors focused on people, places, and occurrences through music, visual art, dance, short essay, and spoken word. To various levels, all of our cadets learned to appreciate the continued efforts and accomplishments of Black Americans. Our annual presentation, Rise! - A Celebration of African- American History, went virtual due to the pandemic. It remains to be the culmination of the February focus of an EVERY DAY journey.
