dual language class

Mr. Alvarez’s dual language class, recently took part in a fun and creative collaborative writing activity during Language Arts with Ms. Chavez. Working in teams, students received a lively photograph and used it as inspiration to build their own stories together.

This activity not only sparked imagination and creativity, but also highlighted the importance of teamwork. Students practiced organizing their ideas, sharing perspectives, and listening to one another—all while strengthening social connections within the group.

Because this is a dual language classroom, activities like these are especially powerful for language development. Students had opportunities to expand vocabulary, practice expressing ideas in both languages, and build confidence in communication. The result was a collection of unique and imaginative stories that showcased both collaboration and growing bilingual skills.
