Students from Mrs. Rightweiser's 4th grade class along with 4th and 5th grade students from Miss Hampton's class have been reading about Nutrition and Eco-Friendly Foods.
The book, Eco-Friendly Foods by Cath Senker, teaches students about planting their own organic vegetable gardens to save energy (fuel, electricity) and be more Eco Friendly. The classes decided to start an Eco-Friendly Sustainable Garden that can be brought home at the end of the school year. Students planted seeds (tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, herbs, and flowers) using organic soil, biodegradable pots, reusable pots, and recyclable pots.
