It Is All Smiles as Students at A.J. Katzenmaier Grades 4 & 5 Meet Their Teachers and Drop Off School Supplies

It was all smiles for grades 4 & 5 students at District 187's A.J. Katzenmaier on Friday. Students met their teachers and dropped off school supplies at the annual meet and greet and school supply drop-off event. The event started with an introduction from staff who checked in the students and provided information on the teacher and class location assignments.
After the check-in, students received a homework box of school supplies to aid during the upcoming school year. After receiving the homework box, students met with smiling teachers who guided the students and families to their new classrooms and lockers. Teachers happily discussed classroom rules and expectations, and families received a calendar of events for the upcoming school year. Students and families also had the opportunity to drop off their school supplies.
The event was all smiles as dozens of students and families were eager to see friends and staff and chat about summer break.
